Donna Renay Patrick

MINISTRY/SPEAKING EXPERIENCE:  Donna Renay Patrick is an anointed and sought-after speaker,  award-winning author, musician, choir director, worship leader, writer, and podcaster.   Her teaching  and leadership experience spans over 35 years.  She is passionate about making worship the motivating factor in your leadership and in walking in your purpose.  She is a frequent presenter at the Bay Area Sunday School & Church Workers Convention (BASS), in Castro Valley, California, where she facilitates workshops in various facets of church worship ministry; namely, Keeping Worship Priority In The 21st Century Church and Improving The Working Relationship Between Pastors and Music Ministry Personnel. 

CONTRIBUTING WRITER:  She has served as a contributing writer for Kingdom Christian, Authentic, and Today’s Purpose Woman Magazines. She has written several articles for The Christian Index, the official publication of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church.  Her blog, found on her website, features articles, devotionals, and excerpts from her books to encourage and uplift the body of Christ.  On the invitation of the African American Lectionary, she wrote a commentary to include historical and contemporary use of the worship arts in the African American Christian experience.

DEGREES AND CERTIFICATIONS:  Donna earned a Bachelor of Science in History and Secondary Education from Bishop College in Dallas, Texas.  In May of 2011 she received her Master of Arts in Christian Education from Dallas Baptist University.  She received her personal trainer certification from the International Sports Sciences Association, and completed her paralegal education at the former Southeastern Paralegal Institute.

PUBLISHED AUTHOR:  Her first book, At All Times (Westbow Press, 2012), is a devotional written to inspire and encourage believers toward a deeper understanding of praise and worship.  Her second book, It’s In Your Praise! (Westbow Press, 2015) is a devotional and study guide designed to encourage personal reflection concerning our current perspectives on praise & worship.  She has co-authored 4 books entitled: Be Refreshed, a year of devotions for women in the workplace; The Perfect 7, a devotional focused on 7 key areas of stewardship; Stories of Roaring Faith, Vol. 4, a compilation of personal testimonies; and No More Unclaimed Promises, the anthology of 17 purpose-driven women who chose to stand on God’s promises even through difficulty.

RADIO HOST:  As host of The Donna Patrick Show she uses social media to spread the message of making praise and worship a lifestyle. Topics are discussed laser specific to what it really means to be a worshipper after the Biblical standard.  Some of those topics include how to improve the working relationship between the Sr. Pastor and worship leader, why your personal worship is a weapon against spiritual warfare; and reasons why the praise team is NOT the place to learn to be a worshipper.

MINISTER OF MUSIC:  While currently serving on the music staff at The New Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Lancaster, Texas, she continues to serve churches all over the D/FW area as worship leader, musician, and workshop clinician.  She serves on the Executive Board of The Northeast District Baptist Association, is a faculty member with The Artelia Hutchins Training Institute of The National Convention of Gospel Choirs and Choruses
