Next Level Worship Is Intentional

Powerful Resources for Continued Study in Praise and Worship:

Below are some available resources to help you in your personal or corporate journey to better understand praise and worship, and how they are vital to our growth as Christian believers. This is not a complete list, but any of these are excellent starting places on your way to learning more.

The Hallelujah Factor, by Jack Taylor

This book is an excellent starting place if you are new to praise and worship. It discusses Biblical references to praise in the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, as well as a praise word study in the Hebrew and Greek.

Experiencing Worship – A practical guide to praise and worship, by Bob Sorge

This volume is an excellent study in everything praise and worship: planning your worship service, the purposes of congregational worship, leading worship, and considerations for the worship team.

The Unquenchable Worshipper, by Matt Redman

This book is for the serious worshiper. Matt Redman is a gifted song-writer, but this book is not about great worship music. He reminds us that worship is about God, to God, and for God. Worship isn’t so much about engaging with people as it is engaging with God.

God’s Eye View, by Tommy Tenney

This book will change your perspective on the worship of God. The author reminds us to not allow our personal circumstances to determine your level of worship.

The Pain of Change – Transitioning a Church Through Worship and Prayer, by Dr. Jerome E. McNeil, Jr.

Dr. McNeil reminds us that authentic worship in our congregations comes from the heart and is not contained entirely in the various forms of worship that we engage in. He helps us better understand what it means to worship God in spirit and in truth.

Prophetic Worship – Releasing the Presence of God, by Vivien Hibbert

Here Vivien Hibbert explores a working definition of prophetic worship, the difference between praise and worship, and an introduction to breaking worship traditions.

The Purpose and Power of Praise and Worship, by Dr. Myles Munroe

This is a must-read if you seek to better understand praise and worship. In his lifetime, Dr. Munroe challenged us to practice and protect the presence of God in our lives, as well as embrace its purpose and priority.

Prophetic Worship – Releasing the Presence of God, by Vivien Hibbert

Here Vivien Hibbert explores a working definition of prophetic worship, the difference between praise and worship, and an introduction to breaking worship traditions.
